Sometimes we go all out for our loved ones but when it's just a normal bday what do you give your significant other, around what price range? I just got my husband couple of small things, not over $150.... but I am getting him a Canon T2i for Christmas

I usually go all out for bdays. In the past, got my ex tickets to giants and an authentic jersey. Some of those jerseys were hard to find and they are around 500 a piece. He did the same with me though. Always took me to nice restaurants and he did have an expensive taste so it's only fair. But, if you are going through hard times I don't think you should go overboard. My grandmother used to say 'stretch your legs as far as your covers go'

What's your hubby into?

I got him something simple because we are saving to move into a house but I was wondering in what manner you guys acquire things for birthdays :)

I usually try to pay attn for a long time to what he mentions he really likes or thinks is interesting..or needs or replaces something he loves and was gone..

what sucks is my husband tends to impulsively buy whatever when he wants it..so it generally doesnt leave me in a good spot for gifts
if were tight on money or saving for something big we set an agreed upon gift price cap for birthdays/ holidays

I'm usually pretty good at giftint, 4 christmas ago I got him a huge LOTR collection, the special edition box set with 12 DVDs, a collector item flickering mount doom with the ring and chain and a gollum engraved lighter, he went bananas, last christmas I recruited his mom to steal a baby pic of his that he LOVES, he's sitting in his dad's lap with a red tshirt with his name, always mentioned he'd love to have a shirt like that again, so I custom made him one and gave it to him along with a camera bundled with case, card tripod, etc he lvoed it too, but this time I just feel weird.... like my gift is silly.... I dont know....

canon t2i for the win!
a camera captures memories, and memories = all lifes about

Depends. For my girl's bday (our first together), I got her an ipod nano (she commutes from brooklyn to nyc for work everyday and didn't have one), a speaker for the ipod and a canvas print of her favorite Dali painting.

for xmas, we both decided to not go hard on the gifts and, instead, spend that $$ on a trip together in the spring. I got her a digital camera (she broker hers and loves taking pics, like all broads) and some small, more meaningful stuff.

That's Johnny. I gave up on trying to find him the perfect gift because he had everything. If I wanted him to wait..I'd have to tell him and then he'd already know what he was getting

I just gave up and we stopped exchanging gifts.

lol...my wife and I are similar. I tend to buy whatever in the fuck I want for myself so she never has a clue what to get me. I however still am able to suprise her.

Just a few days ago I dropped 3g's on a set of new wheels for my truck and just told my wife not to worry about me for xmas.

and the same day I bought this for my wife for our anniversary
