I'm a married man, and I'm only now (after a few of them) realize what I need to do, in order to have a happy relationship w/ a woman. I need to be the above, so does she.

Here is my take on relationships:
there are pretty much 2 types of men when it really comes down to it:
1. Men that are currently mainly looking for sex.
2. Men that are currently mainly looking for a relationship.
Men that are looking for sex, will not get hurt by women easily, and usually wont complain about women too much
Men that are looking for a relationship will complain much easier. And usually the biggest problem is when they cant figure out what the women wants (sex or the relationship)
Or say they are in a relationship for awhile, but the woman eventually leaves him for someone higher up on the ladder

Ah, but often enough, when we try to give all these things to a man, we get shunned or turned away. Take a guy I was talking to a little this past weekend. Thursday night, we talk for 4 hours. He offers to cook me dinner one night...lamb. We're flirting, having a good time. Finally, I go home, thinking there is definite interest. I go home for the weekend, so I don't talk to him. Sunday night, I go downstairs to talk to him, and he is a complete ass to me. WTH? I thought there might possibly be something there, but damn, was I wrong!
And it's not just him. My experiences of late have been you care about a guy, and you are willing to give what you have. For some reason, that's not enough, and he's not interested.
So please, don't try and tell us what you want. While I am not saying this applies to all men, (because I know for a fact it doesn't), don't say you want something, if you're not willing to take it when it's offered.
