What Color Should the Brake Fluid be in GSXR 750?

I have heard some people it should be clear and others say it doesn't matter if it is brownish orange or not. But mine is brownish orange. Also should I use dot 3 or dot 5 if it is bad.

It should be opaque.

If it's black, you got problems.

I have no idea what opaque looks like. Can you use primary and secondary colors if you don't mind. It is not black it is sortof orangishbrown.

It'll say what DOT it is on the master cyclinder cover, or where ever you fill it up. Go to the parts store and buy some of said DOT, then compare colors. Owners manuals are a must for anyone who wants to turn their own wrench. Last time I filled up I'm thinking was DOT 4, and pretty clear with a faint brown tinge.

I have a Ninja bro. Your fluid should be somewhat clear with a yellow tint to it. Dot 3 and Dot 5 are both NOT to be used in my bike, but I have Kawasaki, not a Suzuki. I have to use Dot 4 only!! If your fluid is not "somewhat" C-Through and it's a orangish-blackish color, its contaminated from brake dust. It will still work, but I would Change it out just to be sure.

Thankyou for a sane logical answer. You have a Merry Christmas.

you can get several different colors of brake fluid. if its dark brownish orange, then its definitly time to change that shit outta there.

if its not obvious from the brake resevoiure as to which DOT# to use then check the owners manual. if it says DOT3, use DOT3... the other ones DOT5 i think has somethin in it that'll fuck up DOT3 systesm...
