what are those loud fireworks called?

they shoot up like 20-30 feet in the air and blow up, their basicly just for the big bang because the explosion is not to much bigger than a blackcats but it's loud as fuck...anyone know what these are called?

I get them from a friend who has a permit and license to buy and shoot them off. I pay 10-20 each, but remember, these are the big shells. Not those little ones in a 12 in. tube.

i hate buying those things, we drove out to some indian reservation in nv to get em and ended up spending like 1k... such a waste for something you're going to light on fire. Might as well just throw a pile of money on the ground, douse it with gas and light it up. I think you'll get a better reaction from people that way anyway...

OR, if you want to go all out and use potassium nitrate, charcoal powder, and sodium nitrate??? I can't remember the three, but have it written down somewhere. My old man used to make his own rocket fuel for his model rockets when he was younger and passed it on to me
