what are the differences between t3 and t4?

i'm sure the question has been asked before, so if you can direct me towards the link, it would be greatly appreciated.

i have access to synthroid (t4), but not to cytomel (t3). i'm looking into adding t3 to my cycle to overcome the lethargy associated with tren. and was looking for any personal experiences, or shared knowledge.

t3 (triiodothyronine) and t4 (thyroxine) are both thyroid hormones obviously.
both control metabolism at the cellular level. a normal thyroid will produce about 80% t4 and 20% t3 but t3 is 4 to 5 times stronger hormonally than t4.

thanks for the reply, would T4 be at all beneficial with overcoming tren induced lethargy? or should i just go with the cytomel(T3)?

i personally have never had the nee for either so i would wait for someone who has used tren with t3/t4 for a good answer. from the information i have read (no personal use) i would probably go with t3 with a test at the same time. never do t3 alone.

T3 is the more active hormone in the body. the body will convert T4 to T3 where it can use it, so it functions something like a prohormone in that respect. i believe it generally safer to take T4 vs. T3 because there is less risk of over-stimulation. also i heard when you take T3 directly it can has a disproportionate effect on the internal organs vs. peripheral fat burning due to the way it gets distributed via digestive absorption. sounds a little sketchy but in my personal use i have found T4 (human grade) a better solution for my needs vs. T3 (research sources).

AR did some good work supporting the usage of T4 vs. T3, and i credit him with convincing me to try this out, and i am glad i did. my use is with GH, not tren.
