What are some good lower ab excercises?

I have a hard time hitting my lowers. Anyone know any secrets or good excercises that isolate them? What about building the top 2 rows? I have pretty good top abs but i need to make them bigger, should I add weight for this? Bam

You might get more replies putting this in the training board. I just do hanging leg raises to hit the lower portion of my abs. And remember that spot reduction is a myth - so if you're lower abs aren't showing (because body fat is too high) - all the ab exercises in the world won't help.

If your upper abs are showing, but not your lower abs it could be as Stryc-9 said because your bf% is too high.

good exercises for the lower abs include
seated knee-ups, bent-knee hip raises, reverse crunches, and hanging knee raises.

i'll move this to training. and IMO its all one muscle group so if ur hittng one area, ur hitting all of them, anything else is just proprioception

Not sure about hitting "lower abs", but I like hanging leg raises, standing ab work on lat machine, straight leg sit ups. But I still think the best exercise for abs is heavy deadlifting and squating.

No such thing as hitting "lower" abs, they're all one muscle group. Leg raises and other movements are really hitting the hip flexors more.
