Do you ever give normal, nurturing type hugs that don't make her feel like a sex object? Sometimes women need to be cuddled and nurtured without it being a sexual thing.

I never used to make the bed either, but I used to keep my bedroom door closed when my son was little. Now my son is out of the house and if I don't make the bed the cats are over my sheets, so the choice is jerk up the covers and make it nice or wake up covered in cat fur.

As for the hug thing, I don't get that, but I'm married to a cuddler (he comes home from work and just wants to be hugged for a while) so I don't know what to tell you other than negotiate it, a person deserves non-sexual nurturing time.

Which reminds of another one of his hugs... the "sneak-up". It usually yields a chuckling result, that is, if it doesn't scare the crap outta me.
