A lot of people are worried about ordering gear and having it sent to their house (I am one of these people). We see a lot of threads on here about should I order to my home or should I order to a PO Box etc.
I also think people are worried (more so than most would admit) that their source has a data base with their order info and address in it. Most of the Bro's on here will say as long as you trust your source you have nothing to worry about, but in all honesty, sources are people and if they get pinched by Johnny Law, I don't care how good a bro a source is, if it helps him out, he will turn your info over to the police if it will help him.
With all that being said, has anyone ever used a fake ID to secure a post office box (Not necessarily at the post office but one of those mail box places) and then had their gear shipped there? I know, I know, using a fake ID at a post office is not a good idea and by doing so, you are violating all kinds of federal laws.
Wouldn't it make sense to do this if you could get your hands on a good enough fake ID? I knew a guy that was involved in Law Enforcement and back at the command center, they had a box of drivers licenses that were confiscated, or "accidently" not given back to a motorist etc and he would go through the box until he found one that resembled him and then he used it to get a PO Box. He paid for 6 months up front, and ordered two seperate cycles (Spacing them out for a few months) and that was it. It seemed like a brilliant way to get around using your real name and address.
Obviously, you have to have a solid ID and hopefully an uninterested college studdent working the counter at one of these places. What do you all think, good idea or bad?
