What AAS's shouldnt be used while on finasteride?

I know Deca is a big no no. I'm still confused about fina and others.

I'm not worried about inhibiting gains. Most bros who have done a cycle while on and off finasteride have noticed very little differance gains wise.

I will be taking finasteride for prostate protection as well as hair.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Deca for sure. I believe there is some debate on Fina. Those are the only two that I know of.

Of course, products that do not convert to DHT via 5-AR are not helped but it would not be hurt by it either. Winny, DBol, Primo, anavar...

I have read that it fina converts to DHN via 5-AR. DHN is a weaker compound then the fina itself. This is the same deal with Deca. The debate if I remember right was if fina it fact does convert to DHN or not. If yes, then it would hurt to use it.

You have 5-alpha reductase that converts some substances like testosterone into DHT. DHT is much stronger androgenically. Finasteride does not block but rather prevents the conversion.

Deca converts to DHN via the 5-alpha reductase. DHN is weaker then the base product (DECA). If you use, finasteride while using DECA, then this conversion is not done. This would cause a more potent compound to be present which is more likely to cause hair lose than DHN.


I am prone to hairloss. I have been on minoxidil for a number of years with good results. My first cycle was Deca and EQ. With some dbol at the beginning. I had no issues that I could tell.

If you are worried about hair loss go with the anabolic compounds like Deca and EQ. I ran Deca for 5-6 weeks and then ended the cycle with EQ to reduce the shutdown issues. Everything seems to have worked out.

I was planning on running test,dbol, and fina on my next cycle. I am prone to MPB. I wanted to add proscar,but now I am thinking that it might not be a good idea. Would I benefit at all from it,or would it make my hairloss worse?

It will help the test, do nothing for the dbol and possibly hurt with fina.

You can also use nizoral shampoo which is a weak anti-androgen and. also topical spiro. They work by blocking the androgen receptor. Nizoral shampoo is easy to do although it makes my hair dry. Spiro is a alcohol based solution like minoxidil. The problem is that it produces an odor when it heats and reacts. Your hair will start to pick up the smell. But these topical anti-androgens can be used regardless of the steroid.

Also never mentioned is minoxidil 5%. Minoxidil is a hair stimulant. I believe it counteracts the influence of the androgens. I get the costco brand which is cheap and flood my hair. It works for me . Good luck.
