This forum kills me... There are so many whiney little kids, crying about how this mod abuses their powers, that they should be able to express themselves however they want, etc.... If you don't like the way elite or any of the forums in particular are run, then why the hell are you here, you really have nothing better to do with your existance than to go to a website (one out of the millions out there) to whine about how it's run? This is a privately owned board, so in fact, you don't have free speech, if George or the mods chosen by him don't like the way you conduct yourself, then it is their perogative to kick your sorry ass out, end of story.

The part that is the funniest is that this is Elite FITNESS, but the whiniest sucks here never post in any of the forums related to fitness or training, surely their are sites out there for racists, big mouth kids, and ignorant haters in general!!

Wodin, great idea about posting IP addies, if the internet sucks don't like the way you and the other mods do things, they can always leave....

Didn't comment on his thread before, but just to let everyone know it is illegal to post someone's ip over the net. Besides, you can't do much with the ip except get the city and the isp (maybe more if you do an isp crack ).



But yea, this is America (at least where the elitefitness server is located at), that means elite pertains to the US laws. Just cause someone has a private corporation doesn't mean he/she can fire all its employees and close business or hire new ones. Just doesn't work like that.

At the same time, if you have a place of business, with clearly posted rules, and someone comes into your place of business and clearly violates those rules, it's within your rights to give them the boot.

I agree, but from what I've seen (and and I don't tend to frequent this board much, prefer the anabolic and training forums), the biggest cry babies on here seem to be the ones constantly violating the clearly posted rules.
I understand that some people love contraversy, and the attention that comes with being the cause of it, but to expand that much energy trying to get attention on an internet board.....well that itself is says enough about their lives!

You can’t? Once you have the IP address you can probe it either by fast typing or by d/l some friendly little tool. That’s not rocket science. Once you’ve probed and know all the open ports on the remote system, you will have a pretty good (or definite in the case of any Windows based) idea of the operating system they are running. More importantly you will have a list of what other publicly accessible apps they are running. Such as, FTP, mail, HTTP, file sharing (Kazaa, Morpheous, etc). The apps are where your greatest vulnerability are, IIS, WUFTP, WSFTP, Sendmail, Kazaa, Morpheous, IM apps are all notorious for their security holes and usually one can find shareware tools to handle the security breach. Assuming the user is running a Windows flavor, and hasn’t kept up-to-date on patches (who does?), then it still won’t matter if you’re not running any of those third party apps...

I'm a firm believer that if someone insults you, you can do one of several things.

1. Ignore them... people tend to do things for attention, with no attention, they go away.

2. Physically beat them -- I don't suggest this, as words cannot be substantial means to give you the right to attack someone and criminal liability may insue.

3. Mock them -- talk about something completely different than what they are trying to slam you for... they will get upset at this, and increase their verbal attacks... soon, they will trip over their own words and look like the fools that they are.

I like these three... number 3 is the best, but requires a degree of intelligence to complete... if you are a simpleton, I suggest method 1. Method 2 cannot really be completed over the interent, and if you are smart enough to figure out someone's street address via IP... then you are smart enough to use method number 3.

it isnt illegal to post a person's ip address. some sites display them automatically when someone posts. chat services openly display ip addresses as well. and there is alot of things you could do with someone's ip address, especially if it is a static ip.
