I know a guy at work that is near retirement and he is raising his granddaughter because his worthless son doesn't want her around. He married some broad that has kids, but she didn't want HIS kid to live with them. And he WENT ALONG WITH IT!!!!!! What a f*ckin' loser! And he's not even smart enough to realize that one day........he's really going to regret it. When he's old and possibly alone, he'll want to see his daughter. And chances are, she'll want nothing to do with him. If any woman I was with refused to take my kids along with me..........I'd tell her to kiss my ass. Unreal.

In vein with this thread, my son says he doesn't like my girlfriend because she's a bad cook (in his opinion), she's overweight, he doesn't like her toenails, she wears tight stuff, he doesn't like her hair and her skin.
She came out twice last year and she didn't feel welcome because they snubbed her and said bad things about her AFTER she left.
The first visit seemed to go well, but afterwards things were said by the kids.
She liked the kids, but was hurt by those things and didn't understand what she could have done or said to make them not like her.
She was going to move here to be with me, but after the second visit, she said she didn't want to move here because she wouldbe leaving people who loved her- her family and grown kids to live with people who don't- mykids. She wants me to live there, and that we could have a better life there- it costs less to live in Florida than in southern California, and the kids would be welcome as long as they are nice and show respect.
I love her and want a better life, but I have concerns abbout the kids....any thoughts??

My love for my kids will always be strong, and I would do anything for them. That doesn't mean that I will allow them to disrespect me or my lady. True, you can't make them like her, but you should at least sit down and try to talk it out with them. Communicate to them how much you feel for her, and that you still love them unconditionally. Maybe they feel left out, you know?
