Dude you ain't kidding!
It was near 60 here the other day and now I am looking towards a wonderful 15 inch snowfall.
Once my son gets home from the grandpa's house I am headed out to buy me a new ice scrapper and other things as I will be stuck in the house for the next 2 days.
On the good note the weatherman says only like 20 days till spring or some stupid BS.

Meh, quitcher bellyaching. Thursday, I was walking around in a guaze-type dress with cap sleeves, above the knees, 2 sizes too small, boobies quite tastefully hanging out, wearing 5" satin mules sweating my ass (yes, thanks to HRT I now have an ass again) off with the sunroof and windows open, crazy hair (yes, I now have hair again) blowing in the wind, music blaring to the tune of NINETY-ONE DEGREES... Yesterday it was so cold that I wore a fleece hat, velour hoodie over a longsleeve waffleknit top and leather jacket.

I didn't take a pic of me in the dress (though I should have because I looked HAWT) but I did take a pic of myself yesterday at the request of one of my girls. Her friends wanted to see her mami. Lemme go get it.

Crappy pic but I got the request when we were in the bathroom attending to our new krabbles (we've added 3 to the family. now we have seven). You can see I was wearing flats during the day but when we went out I put on my favorite via spiga heeled booties. I got those things at DSW for 75% off like 10 years ago and I STILL get complimented on 'em. You know you are old when articles of your warddrobe actually "come back".

It's so funny how combining clothing acccessories *just right* will project a certain feeling. The hat I'm wearing in that pic was bought from Target as part of Christmas presents for my girls one year - all four the same matching hats and scarves and gloves but different pattern. Somehow this black one and a bright blue one ended up with me. That was like 5/6 years ago. I put a cheap pin on it (that doubles as a slide) and I get complimented on it every time I wear it!
I get most of my stuff on clearance. The dress I was talking about has been in my closet since the end of last season when I bought it for 75% off. It was 98.00 full price and looked every bit of that price at the beginning of THIS season. lol
The shoes, were cheap shoes that looked so damned cute (surprizingly comfortable) I had to have them and have worn them to death but to this day I get complimented on them every time I wear them. I don't think they cost me more than 20$ 8 years ago. Hell, I KNOW they didn't because 8 years ago I couldn't have afforded a much bigger splurge than 20 bucks.
I wore a courdoroy jacket the other day because it got chilly. The thing was a handmedown from my old training partner Fitness Chick. And I couldn't BELIEVE that someone actually complimented me on the thing Friday night. I think she told me that it may have been a handmedown/exchange between her and a gf of hers years prior! I throw the thing on and someone says, "Wow that is a cute jacket. I was like, "Huh?" This old thing? (And I meant it LOL)
You don't need to spend a fortune to look like you might have.

PS, I happen to be standing by the now infamous "half-drunk screwdriver and mysteriously lit candle on the inside ledge of my bafftub while I was out of town" tub. The KrabbleRanch is on the inside ledge, why my shoes are off. Can't be setting my nani in a tub that has roadgrime on it.
