well, interesting day...

i was supposed to start my new job today, but they called me and said that anyone that would be showing me around is at a trade show... so i should stay home this week.

and get paid.
WHICH, makes no sense, since they didn't have to put me on the payroll yet, but ok, i won't complain.
i'm reading up on what they do.

so i went out for a bit this morning and thought i'd work in my studio today.
except it's not heated, so i put on the kerosene heater and discover i'm out of kerosene.

then i see that the water that runs through my grinder to cool it is frozen solid.

ok, no studio work.

instead, i went to the garage to do some other stuff- i'm putting a new piece of leather on a chair. and then my leather punch broke.

and then i saw i was out of grommits.

fuck it.
i did nothing today instead. nothing.

it's pretty much what i did at my last job. i'm just amazed i found the exact same job again. i really didn't think it was possible.

that house is done, although after I put it on the market, i decided I wasn't happy with a few things and i had a contractor come in and fix them.
I've gotten 3 offers.
1 was too low.
1 was a no money down thing (goodbye)
and 1 is a possibility. i've counter offered.
