ANyone else get weird aches and pains from activities other than your normal workout routine and exersice?
I consider myself to be in pretty good physical condition. My exercise routine has been 4-6 days a week for the last 3 yrs consistently. I do both cardio and i also lift regularly.
Why is it that after 5-6 hours of waitressing i get all sorts of aches and pains like in my hips legs and feet? I have been waitressing for a while now. At first i just thought maybe i wasnt used to being on my feet for that long, but now im wondering what is up?
Anyone else who considers themselves in good shape ever feel this way?
Maybe im just getting old?:(

Are you wearing support hose? Sounds like it might be a blood-supply thing. Careful or you'll end up with varicose veins. I got a bad one behind my knee when I used to check groceries.

I'd wear support hose and also make sure to elevate your legs (the higher the better...like scooting your butt up to the wall and letting your legs rest vertically against it) when you get home.

the importance of high quality shoes cannot be stressed enough, make sure you are well hydrated, those are common symptoms of low hydration also......watch your minerals......

I've been there. I'm in great physical condition, but when I began waitressing a few years back, I encountered the same problem you are addressing: aches and pains. It's normal. Just make sure you wear good shoes. On really busy or really long nights, even if you have been waitressing for 6 months, you're going to be fatigued. Running around on your feet like that just does that to ya.
