Weight Training & Weightlifting Awards...

Best Transition in Training:

Super_Rice for going from an eager to learn kid training in his basement, doing it right, learning everything he can, thinking critically and assimilating information, begging his parents for equipment and a power rack - and now, has picked up OL full time, trains with great athletes at a fantastic facility, posts great content, and most importantly, is having a great time being healthy and improving something he loves.

Well put Madcow!

By the way, I am enjoying using your 5x5 program. I am making some great gains and I would appreciate it if you visited my thread and dropped a few comments!

Thank you so much Madcow, for everything you've done for me and all the people on the internet. Also, I believe you may have had a big hand in popularizing Glenn Pendlay and Bill Starr. I hope that you will always be able to find the time and kindness in your heart to keep helping lost teenagers and those who are teenagers at heart.

I think that a lot of us owe you a large debt of gratitude that can be best paid off by spreading what we've learned to others. Common guys, this person does not even need us to know his real name and has shared his wealth of knowledge for free (forget Poliquin). There are not a lot of people like this in the world, like MC2, my coach Hani, and I am glad that they are giving their time to show us the light.

As hollywood has coined it, "pay it forward."

Agreed. MC2 deserves an award for putting up with us dumbshits. Maybe "Most Significant Contributor"? It comes w/ a free steak dinner.

This is a good thread idea, Shades. BiggT gets several, including "Most Likely to Drink All Your Milk."

I'm in the running for "Most Embarrassing Display of Trying to Relive his 20s."

Thanks! I think MM gets most hyper poster!

Shades McCool, you deserve an award for showing us all up with a 500# deadlift. I think you're one of like seven people that actually lift weights around here :)

Well said, SR. If this is turning into a (long overdue) MC2 appreciation thread, count me in.

In a generic sports awards theme, if MC2 could be considered Best Coach/Manager, BiggT is board MVP. His patience and willingness to take the time to work with people on a daily basis are incredible. Oh, and he's pretty knowledgeable and a good candidate for Strongest Member (er, Board Member), too. ;)

Anyway, those were my "serious" awards; I just figured you guys should know the work you put into helping people doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated.

I"m trying really really hard not to just torpedo this thing w/ my own awards. I've got a handful that should be handed out. LoL "Least likely to succeed" . . . "Most ghey" . . . etc. LoL

MC2 definitely deserves the appreciation. And BiggT is clearly head and shoulders above the crowd w/ his contributions.

Tweakle gets a double whammy award for most weight dipped (aka invincible shoulder girdle) and most skinny spotter employed of the year (in that safety squat machine video).

This is a great thread, lol.....If I can secure personal sponsorship with 'Nair for Men', I may not win the back hair award next year.
