weight loss in relation to week off

bros..
last week i had the nastiest stomach flu ever and was forced to take a week off from the gym. i maintained my diet to the best of my ability but i was only able to get in about 4-5 meals a day. i figured since i wasn't working out it would be ok. i wound up losing almost 2 lbs in that week...not too bad but my gains are slow and consistent (2 lbs is alot to me). what accounts for weight loss when a week is taken off from the gym? did my body really miss my other two daily meals?

It's the sickness. You lose water weight when you're sick. It's normal. You'll get it back in no time though.
 
That's nothing all last week I was weak and small from my flu bug the week before. I lost almost seven pounds and was behind on all my lifts.
 
thanks for the replies guys...i guess it's pretty standard then. my lifts are still kinda weak but i'm guessing they'll come back after a few days or so
 
From time to time I miss a week of training due to business travel. On these trips I can't eat or sleep properly and I'll lose over 5 pounds. It ALWAYS comes back within a week or two as long as I get my ass back in gear. Don't sweat the weightloss if you were only out a week, you'll be right back where you were before you know it.
