Hey bros,

I was wondering if I should subsitite my protein shakes with a weight gainer. I plan on doing my first bulking cycle consisting of EQ, test and dbol. I konw I should be taking in lots of cals during the cycle so I thought maybe somehting like NLarge2 would do the trick. The only reason Im hesitant is because the last time I tried NLarge2, I gained a shit load of fat. What do you guys think? Also, I know that whey protein is pretty useless if its not post workout. If I dont go for the weight gainer, should I invest in a shake with a protein blend? That stuff aint cheap though.

add the weight gainer to meet your total caloric needs

ok thanks. so you think I dont really need the protein blend shakes?

you can keep the protein shakes to make sure your getting enough protein but take the weight gainer as you need it to get enough calories as well...

i like N-Large2 by Pro-Lab i think it is, tastes good, not the type of weight gainer with 2,000 calories but it has alot, and a good makeup in my opinion for a post-workout shake

you need a minimum of 1g of protein per lb of bodyweight, shoot for 18-20 calories per lb of body weight, if you can meet those numbers without shakes/weight gainers then you dont need eather one

was using metrx 3 times a day and whey the other 4 times, then said fuck it and substituted HDT Problend Solid Gains (problend with maltodextrin basically) for the metrx to boost up cals. Something was giving me no appetite, so i wanted to account for 3000 cals at least from flax/whey/MRP+other post-pre workout shakes. that way i am almost assured i can get another 1000-1500 cals from food. i agree though, usually weight gainers make me fat really quick. but i stalled at about 17lbs gained and figured only way to keep gaining is to up calories. always time to cut later.
