week off lifting?

Finishing up a PCT on a 10 wk test cycle, on week 15 and am pyramiding down on the nolva and unleashed. Out of curiosity, does anybody take like a week off lifting after their cycle or after like 4 months of lifting in a row? I heard its good to do but do not really know when it just seems so bad to me and awkward taking a week off. If somebody could drop knowledge on me about taking time off lifting to benefit it would be appreciated,
 
I believe if ur overtraining, then its a good idea to cut back some but to take a week off, IMO, is a good idea only if ur injured or if u have to take a week off for personal reasons, like say maybe a death in the family for instance......never heard of anyone who is into fitness as most on this board is as well as most of my gym friends taking a week off unless they were injured......but that is just my opinion......I am addicted to fitness cuz it makes me feel great, alive n healthy, I mean, I can ultimately feel that if I personally took a week off, I would fall off the wagon n probably feel like complete crap...but again, that is just my opinion :)
 
Agreed thank you for your imput, Sticking to split workouts 6 days a week a kind of "hybrid workout" I guess you just really have to listen to your body and the strains that it is placed under.
 
I take a week off now and then when my body tells me. Sometimes I just feel really weak and burnt out.
It's great because Right around days 3 or 4 I start to feel like superman, Bouncing off the walls With energy And I have to force myself to stay Out of the gym for the rest of the week But when I do go back I kill it for the first 2 weeks! Strength seems to be up And endurance! So it works for me And not to mention It seems like I get some good growth during that week as well.
