Webpage designers, what top software programs do you like for building a page

Homesite. Nothing more , noting less!

If you want to use a wysiwyg editor use golive or dreamweaver.

What the big deal about notepad? I used it when I first was learning because that’s what I was told the "leetest" thing to do, till I realized html is nothing impressive to bloat about technically and writing it with notepad was a complete inefficient waste of time that just slowed development down and proved nothing.

At my company we all use homesite for just basic html, incorporating asp, jasp or whatever we need to.

Not at all. I found HTML work much faster using Notepad or Textpad than I did with a WYSIWYG. After all, I type faster than I mouse. Betcha I can make a borderless table colored to look like the American flag in notepad faster than you can with a WYSIWYG. =)

It's called a joke.

Learn.

Shakedown fight.

Peace

homesite is not a wysiwyg. you should take a look it it. it basically is notepad with some other things that can assist you if you want to use them. For example you want to open a TD and you type "<TD>". then when it will automatically add the closing "</TD> for you. Just things like that, that can save lots of time. So its sorta like...... notepad on gear :D
