Weak Will Power

I have no problem starting a nutritional program, but staying on it is another question. I guest I get board, or feel like I need to “treat myself”. In a matter of days I am back to square one, and my body hates me for it because the shit just passes through my system. I want to change this habit.

1. What do you do keep a balance diet.
2. How do you stop from getting board from eating “clean”.
3. What are the tricks of keeping a strong will towards eating “clean”.

1. Nothing really, I plan in advance.. Cook on sunday.. so my meat is ready. The night before school or work i pack my lunches in tupperwear . so all i have to do is grab it and go.

2. I spice my food, there are alot of creative ways.. I eat potaotes but i make them into french fries with ketchup and steak. or stir fry rice with chicken.

3) that depends on the person.. Look at yourself in the mirror? are you happy with what you see? if no.. then do something about it..

In the pass 15 years I have had a lot of up and downs. My goal is to be consistent until death. No longer with the ups and downs cycle. But in order for me to do this, I must be truthful with myself, and develop a support group to ensure I don't slip...i guest that is why I fail so many times...but it has to be something I do on my own. And no, I don't like the way I look in the mirror, even when I was 'on point' I did not like what I saw. My goal is to be 190 - 200 lbs 10% bt, and to maintain it until death...I will do whatever it takes.

i got a pict of arnold from back in the day, put it on as my background for my computer. whenever i want to see i look at the pict and talk myself out of it.

try it, it might work for you.

Also, Set goals for yourself.. If you don't have SPECIFIC, exact goals then what are you working for.. And you need to be able to measure these goals..

Set goals for:
1) ultimate long-term goal
2) One-year goal
3) 90- day goals (which are most important because you can definitely see change in these 90 days)
4) Daily Goals ( Such as " I AM eating good every single day because I love the way I feel and look from eating such good foods)

Be sure and write down these goals and make them your life.. Read/Write them every single day so that you will be for sure to put these things in your head so it will eventually become automatic.

If you don't have goals then OF COURSE you will end up quitting becuase WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU WORKING TOWARDS..

Most of all, have fun and be positive about everything, and when the going gets tough, just ask yourself if what your about to do will help you towards your goals...

Good Luck

If i feel myself getting sick of going to the gym and doing cardio ill stop lifting for a week and stop going to the gym, and instead go for a long hike that weekend on some uneven terrain, find a nice trail and ride my bike, get some friends together and play football for a few hours etc etc there are endless possibilities, you dont have to go to the gym to get inshape.. do that a few times that week to break the monotany of going to the gym. If i feel like im gonna slip up on my diet or know that when i meet up with my friends they are more than likely gonna stop somewhere to eat ill chug a slow digesting protein shake (casein) and crunch on some almonds. If you are following a strict diet, its gonna put your calories over the edge but its definately better than a monster burger at hardees, or a large greesy popcorn, a liter of cola (thanks farva), and some goobers.

BTW, the new Rambo movie is better than taking AMP02 before a workout

use fitday to keep track of EVERYTHING you consume. i made my journal public so alot of people i know look at it and track my progress. some people think eating "clean" means steaming brocolli, eating sweet potatoes everyday and cooking chicken breasts on your george foreman grill. it doesnt have to be like that. i really have a weakness for spaghetti. i mean i can eat two big plates of it. when i found out how many calories was in it, i changed my approach. tonight i had spaghetti with ground turkey, whole wheat pasta, and light ragu. i threw in a salad and used vinegar as the dressing. it still tasted great to me, and wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been.
