We were lied to as children, women are more superficial than men (generally speaking)

Excluding the better minority of both sexes, each sex has a primary trait they look for in a mate.



For men, it is physical appearance.



For women, it is money.




Let's take a look at each:




Physical appearance: This is a part of attraction to the person themselves, while it can be argued that looks are more superficial than personality, a person's looks is still a trait of that person. And just as some are born with great personalities, others are born with great physical appearance.



Money. What is money? Money itself is a lifeless, soulless object used to purchase other equally vacant objects such as diamonds and clothing. (to name a few favorites of women)



Money is completely independent of the person who owns it. When a woman gets with a man for his money, the man is irrelevant, the woman's love is for the lifeless object and the other objects it can be used to obtain.


Therefore I decree that women in the general sense are more superficial than men, and that we, the latter generations have been lied to.



Now, I love women and aspire to find the great combination of beauty and personality, and I realize not all women are this cold, but the majority of them are this way so I thought it better I debunk this myth. I will also add that women bring me great joy both in looks and mannerisms.


I will further add that I was brought up largely to believe that women were the 'better' sex; my opinions presented here were not only NOT instilled unto me as a child, but I had the complete opposite opinons which have since been slowly changed through anecdotal experience.

Though ceebs ( :hart: :luve: :girlfrend: ) will attest to the craziness of the women I've been playing around with as of late.

Me: A few months but since I'm dating again my guess is I will again soon.

i think ive found that mix of beauty and personality, well actually its more the one in a million girl who is drop dead gorgeous and still selfless when it comes to serving others. having played college football and been in a fraternity for 3 years its easy to find the gold digger type, and in fact, its most every girl you find especially at parties during the summer.

actually if you want to really know the truth.

it was the thing about drunk driving. another perk of having been around two of the most elite groups at the univ i attend, its easy to see how things that have no glory and are unethical in immoral such as drunk driving, promiscious (spelling) sex and not going to class, are given glory and those people elevated and put on a pedestal by others who just perpetuate the image of fraternities and college athletes. I joined my frat to make a difference, not to drink and womanize. i met my girl when i went back to my hometown one time last summer to watch my younger brother play baseball.

i followed the link on your sig about drunk driving but it didnt take me to any site.

From what I know, women value social status as the primary psycho/social/physical trait from which they assess a mans overall level of attraction.

For men, like you said, its looks.


Money, to me, would be classified as a subtype of status. Money engenders status to his owner, but money is not the only vehicle from which to impart status to an individual. Fame, notoriety, power, prestige all confer status.

This is explained pretty well by evolutionary theory, if you believe that. I don’t know if I do...

I think the big problem here is youth. Young beautiful women are offered cock multiple times a day. Consequently, they can get by more-or-less on their looks. They no longer need to be discriminating when selecting their mates because - being at the age they are – young women have a plethora of men at their disposal.

I think this is also the reason why alot of hot young girls are fucked up. They receive so much external validation of their own worth, or should i say pseudo validation of their worth, incessant sexual advances are used as a crutch to avoid developing genuine self esteem.


But that attitude fades with time along with their looks.

i agree 100 percent with that. When it is ever more present each day, the sheer numbers of girls who seem to go by this as the deciding factor of whether they are good enough or not

it becomes ever more popular as a means of doing the same, attaining worth/self esteem. When females then slightly younger see this, since girls talk; it becomes engrained in a younger crowd. this only serves to fortify the image perpetuated by the male portion of society that attaining stature in their circles of friends can come from getting the best looking girl. therefore both of the sexes attain some worldly stature by getting with the best looking person they can, leading to convenience relationships. shallow.
 
These threads serve to remind me that I am one of the luckiest fellows alive (for now).

I'm beginning to think it doesn't have to do with luck, though, but simply a reflection of how I live my life and stick to my code.

Perhaps buddy but I guarantee you that the majority of women would much rather whore themselves (date) a guy like Donald Trump than George Bush or Colin Powell. The reason? Money.

I'm with an amazing gal. Makes up for all the shitty females I have known, and I have known some totally EVIL whores. Sometimes, I think I simply am lucky. Other times, I think that perhaps I drew her because of the way I have lived my life and because the way I lived my life made me the person I am today. That would imply that my happiness is a result of my own choices.

Either possibility leaves me happy, but the latter gives me a renewed sense of hope, I guess, for other good people who had to and are going to struggle because of the assholes who would only see them suffer.

I'm not sure Trump wins, many women are attracted to power and I sure see a lot of brown babies.
 
I find the money thing more offensive because this is the 21st century and even lower middle class people live a damn good life. Why should i, or anyone, spend $60k on a car just because it has leather seats and a premium name on the side when a $9k car suits me just fine? people are dying for lack of $1 vaccinations all over the world, why should i blow hard earned money on high end status symbols? Strikes me as selfish as hell.

I think i'm finally starting to come around and realize women aren't this emotionally deep, repressed group i used to think they were when i was young & dumb. they are regular people who are insecure and would hurl htemselves vagina first at anything with the words "benz" or "sampsonite" written on it.

If its for me. Well, i knew allot of women back in university and chicks dig doctors and lawyers. I think it appeals to their romantic desire to experience and be associated with something passionate during their life.

Doctors and lawyers are professions often associated with nobility of cause. Helping the poor, destitute and decrepit. Compassionate endeavours are usually motivated by love which resonates within the women’s emotional character.

yea, but once they get over their insecurities, become a whole person and are finished with their slut phase, theyre every bit as whole as you or I are.

alot of it is cultural. Find a philipeano women. American culture is polluted with materialistic obsession and uncomprimising financial aquisition. The more insecure or unsure a person is, the more prodominate cultural values will shape and mold their thought.
 
I think men and women get burned growing up by the opposite sex and consequently become more emotionally reclusive and guarded with potential mates = rough exterior.

But I think alot of girls want the same kind of love and romance that’s being eluded to on this thread. But both parties have bad memories of when they fell hard for xxx who was found fucking their best friend on prom night!

People become distrusting, give off mixed signals which are interpreted the wrong way and the would be relationship falls apart. Self fulfilling prophecy.

Another self fulfilling prophecy is being absolutely positive another individual possesses a certain trait, which that individual picks up on and then consequently, responds negatively to. Thus more-or-less fulfilling the individuals negative expectations of the person.
