The Generals' initial request prior to actual deployment was made to the Pentagon for 500,000 trooops.
The Pentagon only authorized 250,000. Now it sounds like we don't have enough troops to do exactly what the Generals' want to do.
Who's fighting this war? Who should have more say so? Suits in the Pentagon or the Generals in the theater?
I will be weeks before additional troops will be ready to hit the ground and ready to fight. In the meantime the remaining troop sit idle. Do they reach a point of diminishing returns? Sleep deprivation, fatigue, stress, etc.
