Is it possible to have TOO much veggies? I'm looking at my diet and it's 75% protein and 25% fiberous veggies...I'm talking all kinds of veggies at every meal and tons of them.......feel like I'm gonna explode.........

You cannot eat too much veggies, as far as veggies are concerned. But you could possibly eat way more carbs than you want. Im guessing you would have to have the stomach of a cow to eat this much though.

Jkurz, no, the human body has actually evolved to eat over 50% of its food mass in the form of raw veggies. If anything your diet is still a bit short of what you should be consuming. Granted, none of us really get what we need. I shoot for 1 ibs of raw veggies every day.

If I'm not there, I'm close....trust me......maybe I should switch from broc and cauli to something else.....what do you use besides romaine?

I use mostly romaine, but sometimes throw in broc or cauli for vairity. Cucumbers and celery are pretty common for me as well.

MMm.. I'm following the ANPB diet.. Currentl my carb intake
stats at about 9% of cals a day and that's about 35-45 carbs
a day. I would love to add veggies as they fill you up and besides,
Brocolli for example is very yummy (especially when it's hot),
I wonder if that would sabotage the diet a bit, since the carbs
can quite add.

i thought lettuce didn't have much nutritional value?
iceberg contains mainly water and fiber
romaine has more nutritive value
stick to darker leafy lettuces and spinach

good post
i do not believe you can get too much veggies
as long as it is varied

when i was on induction on atkins that was where all my carbs came from
i still don't eat much in the way of starchy veggies but i eat lots of veggies too
almost 25%

one concern
if you are hypothyroid as i am, minimize calciferous veggies (broccoli, caulifower, cabbage, brussel sprouts)

It may just be a bit "hard" on your intestine in the beginning if you're not used to eating large amount of fiber
(cooking your vegetables will ease the digestion process)

Usually the more colorful the vegetable the healthier it is (more phytonutrients)

you can't eat too much green veggies; unless ketosis is an issue, go right on and eat as much as you want (w/ in reason, 20lbs. of green veggies is a big too much).

Mr. X, wouldn't eating to many veggies, like brocolli or cauliflower
sabotage the PB diet? I mean, it may add a houndred or
several houndred calories per day of carbs ?

Also, is there a list of Veggies net carb content (no fiber)
from highest to lowest? Not looking into high carb ones.

Yes, but the ANPB diet DOES NOT have veggies as one of the foods, so that would not be applicable. BFA said it best, everything in moderation.

Most veggies take more calories to digest than they are worth but not all - you can go to www.google.com and search a calorie chart (it usually has it). www.fitday.com is good for that too.

If I explode......it's your FAULT!!!!!!!!!!! Nah, I gotta switch it up......give me no energy, problem because it takes more to digest than they are worth.....Body - you gotta eat more than ROmaine bro.......peppers, shrooms, radishes, broc, cauli.....come on.....
