waxing??

FOr guys out there that have had their chest and or abs waxed have any of you taken any pain killers before like vicoden or something similar. Did it help the pain factor? Or did anyone try a topical numbing cream like EMLA or another 4% Lidocaine cream? Did it work at all? Also did anyone just get very drunk and then get waxed?

i would recommend the vicodin... not the alcohol though... you will bleed with or without it... more with it I am going to have to presume...

anyone have insight on a topical anesthetic cream like emla or elamax thats used for numbing before waxing?

last time i went to a crappier salon they used that stuff.. it didn't do much. If you are getting your chest done... it's pretty bad. Back is tolerable but chest and pubic region is pretty damn painful. I'd take something if you've never done it.

yeah the only reason I ask is because I had some laser done my chest and abs and on my chest the pain was almost unbearable without the topical cream (like excruciating pain), but the second around I put the cream on for an hour and a half before the treatment and I felt like 80% less pain. Laser is extremely painful. I am not sure how it compares to waxing.
