Watermellon on Keto

mr x.... for the first time I disagree with a post of yours!

I eat about 40 grams of carbs daily ALL FIBER... and I
stay in KETOSIS...

If I eat 40 grams of carbs... non FIBER... i get knocked
right out...

Even atkins himself says that you can eat all the fiber
you want!

Dear Cozmokramer,

You have to take in account the fact that you have been in a Ketonic state for quiet a while. From what I understand you use CKD, and have been using it for an amountable period of time. Now, on the other hand, our friend, iced earth, is just starting out (I base this on his question about watermelon), which is why I say he needs to follow the ratios I've listed. Once his body adapts to a Ketonic state (3-4, weeks) then he can have up to 30 carbs a day (as long as he has some fiber with it/fat). Still, remember, not 30 carbs all at once, even if your body is adapted to a Ketonic state.

Mr.X

Body Opus is a great book, but I believe 'The Ketogenic Diet' by Lyle McDonald is better. He references 'Body Opus', but discusses more different types of ketogenic diets. A TKD is really the only one that's worked well for me for any length of time.
