That, my friend, is one of the reasons that I despise Police Officers. That conflict could have been peacefully resolved simply through a little patience and smooth talking.

Controlling, power hungry, police do what they want and rarely consider how it effects others.

I agree with you.

We are recruiting and hiring the wrong people for the wrong reasons. That could be anyones mom, mine is a loudmouth stubborn woman but I love her who could easily be targeted by an overzealous asshole with a badge.

i dont care how bad that guys day was, or how much of a rush he was in, or what fucked up lunatic country he was raised in, he pulled his taser out 20 seconds (count em) into the encounter.

he was not polite, he did not sound reasonable, he did not use the communication and negotiation skills i would expect a police officer to have. he went from "get out of the car" to "get out or im going to tase you" in 30 seconds, and fired. well fuck me drunk, there were 2 hulking cops in uniforms and one smallish woman (who might have been a dickhead but it doesnt matter) and they went from zero to tasing in 30 seconds, completely humiliating the woman, hurting her arm, making her bleed, and for what? SPEEDING? are you people nuts to think that this is ok? and by nuts, i mean, fucking insane?

being a police officer can be a difficult job, im not saying no, but dont you think that the police waiting a few minutes for her to put her phone down (she was on the phone to a boyfriend it looks like) then go about the whole thing in a reasonable manner? what the hell happened to force being used as a last resort?

that guy was a fucking idiot. and lots of people in this thread are fucking idiots for laughing and thinking that it is ok for some dickhead police officer, with an IQ of 85, with a stunning 3 months training, is justified in handling the situation as he did.

Are you serious ? Negotiate what ? How can you use some communication skill with some low IQ moron ? It was going nowhere and it has nothing to do with North America. They're far worse in Europe. I've witnessed "Guardias Civiles" (the Federal police) beating the shit out of a begger because that poor bastard had refused to leave his spot. And that was happening like 6 years ago, at noon in a busy/tourist area. So what you saw in this video is actually very civilized.
