Watch This Dumb Bitch Get Tazed

i watched them.

tasering is a serious sort of thing. it is, for example, far worse than a slap in the face as a violent act, and yet people would be outraged to see an officer of the law slapping someone in the face to get them to do what they wanted.

a police officer is the interface between the public and the legal system. i dont care if you have "attitude" or are trying some annoying ploy to get out of a ticket, or are unlicensed, or whatever - what it comes down to is that police should approach a situation, gradually increasing the seriousness of the measures they use as time goes on, reasonably. using a taser on a woman you outweigh by a hundred ounds, with your equally heavy partner next to you, is NOT a reasonable response, ESPECIALLY after she overheard him say that she has "attitude" and arced up. that was poorly done on his behalf.

expedient, yes. safe for the officer, yes. reasonable? NO. fact is, the woman did not 'exit the vehicle' as the narrator said, she fell out and landed like a sack of shit, and hurt herself.

benefits of tasering in this case:
fast
easy
low risk to officers
makes some people fear police police, thereby obeying them more

costs of tasering in this case:
woman hurt herself
increasing view of police community wide of being heavy handed
decreased community trust of police officers acting reasonably, therefore increasing acts of "self defense" against police officers in future
increased fear of police officers
acceptance of a barbaric act by people that should be pillars of the community
exposure to litigatory risk for police department

in my estimation, it was a bad call.
no im not bloody kidding. you dont use a bloody taser to make your life easier! what next, poking inmates with cattle prods to make them move to the next cell quicker? bloody hell! youre a cop for fucks sake, you should be able to handle people in such a way that use of something like a taser is used when the incident escalates FAR beyond where it went

yep. 20 seconds after teh decision was made to arrest/detain her, he grabbed his taser

youre a cop. its your job to deal with EVERYBODY, not just smart, polite people. i dont care how loud, obnoxious or stupid she was, the cop could have done way better than that.

if *I* can stop a rumble between far, far stupider, belligirent, intoxicated, stoned dickheads who have been eyeing each other off for the past hour and traded insults, then a fucking police officer can fucken well apprehend some moron in a car without zapping her

it isnt a difficult concept.

furthermore, your parallel is askew. why not compare the policemans behaviour with that of joseph stalin while youre at it

gambino, ive noticed that you have a hard on for me lately. you seem to love jumping at what i say belligerently, for some reason. but rather than get abusive, and call you cocksmoking bitch with no perception of their own ignorance, like i normally would, im going to answer your questions, just because im a nice guy

the reason it has to do with bush et al is because he is ushering in new legislation, and eroding civil rights in your country so as to make the incidence of abusive, overzealous policing more common. have you not heard of the PATRIOT act? i suppose you think it has to do with patriotism or something, because of its funky name

the comment was a political jibe for those people in the audience receptive to it, and hopefully lead to some increase in the political IQ of some of the buffoons you call countrymen

and as for how i would have handled the situation? i wouldnt have tried ot grab her in the first place, since thatll just arc her up. i would have sped up her phone call, let her say her bit to whoever was on the line, and told her quietly, but firmly, that her license has been suspended, and htat she had to come down to the station to sort it out. i would have eased her fears, and used euphemisms for what was really going on around her to make her more likely to do what i wanted.

she was a loudmouthed drama queen, but she would ahve run out of steam, and as she said, she didnt trust the police - after all, being approached by 2 burly guys when you know youve done something wrong is a fairly stressful thing.

like i said before, if i can convince 2 guys intent on smashing each others face in to not only forget about it, but for them to BOTH come up to me and offer me drinks/joints etc and continue partying afterwards, i can bloody well convince some loud cow to get out of her car without sending 50000 volts through her chest and out her fanny.

and if i can fucken do it, then so too should a trained professional be able to fucken do it.

these arent complicated ideas, really.

Thank you, Mr. Armchair commando. Dude, you should really consider the SAS, Delta Force or some kind of badass elite group or maybe just work as a cop for a few weeks just to see how well you could use your great "skills" in the real world.

I would do fine without the law pushin their shit down my throat. Their are ways to protect yourself...if someone tries to carjack me for instance They will end up with their head split in two peices by my .45 caliber hydroshock bullet.

You would actually take a human life for simply stealing a vehicle ?

That punishment seems a bit... Excessive, yes ?

I have all the sympathy in the world for “big city” cops. I can’t even imagine what it must be like to be a police officer in NY, LA, Philly, Detroit or any other major city in the world. I wouldn’t want their job at all and they are not paid enough to do it. The types of people they are dealing with are on a whole different level compared to the type of people your typical “hometown” cop deals with. Its hometown law enforcement (I have little respect for them) that gives the good cops bad names, IMHO. When speaking about police and law enforcement, I think you have to make a distinction between the two.

as you seem to be quite the arm chair commando yourself, how would you have approached the situation?

then I should be able to pull over cops for speeding, crash into their cars (pit manuever em) if they refuse to pull them over, taze them, and then handcuff them and cage them in the back of my car. heck, if they resist even me pulling them over, then that gives me the right to do that to them, eh?

or, i should have the right to stop officers in their tracks and make them obey my orders. and if they refuse to comply I'll just taze them. I mean heck, I'm an officer, I can do whatever I want as long as I can find some lame excuse for my actions, or make up a lie about what someone else was doing.

This is the stupidest post of the bunch

You should really take the time to read your reply next time before hitting the submit button.

Actually, IMO, having the full video and audio available makes this situation much LESS capable of causing an uproar of bad cop abusing power. Imagine if we civilians were not able to see exactly how things went down, how long they waited to try and camly get her to comply and what exactly each party said and how they said it ? This video is designed as a training tool if you didn't notice and maybe some newbie officer is thinking exactly what many of you are.

What else could I have done differently ?

Not too long ago, all we had to go on was the He said She said type scenario.

Same as any RCMP officer would: using the Taser (if available) or OC spray (which is what most uniformed officers have). The cop in the video did the right thing.

lol at that bs screaming and hollaring. I was tased before, three times not just twice. And I owned a stungun when I was in highschool and me and my friends tased dozens and dozens of people. Shit doesnt hurt at all, just an uncomfortable electric shock feeling for two seconds and then it stops.
She was trying to pull her ghetto attitude and she found out it doesnt work too well in the real world. I hope she got charged with resisting arrest, she knew what she was doing was wrong and couldve EASILY been avoided. What did she think was going to happen when she wouldnt get out of the car, she knew she was going to be arrested from the git-go b/c she knew her license was suspended and she was giving attitude nonetheless.
