What are some good washers and dryers that are efficent yet inexpensive? Does anyone have insight on this shit?

Efficient, yes. Inexpensive, NO. Sorry. They do cost a bundle!

I have LG and really love them.
yeh, what she said! the maytag neptune twins i have cost me a bundle in 1995, but are still going strong! quiet and efficient...i get more commments on them (even today!) than you would think a washer & dryer would deserve. :artist:

If you prefer top load washers check out the kenmore/whirlpool oasis model. Very low water consumption that rivals the front loaders. If you must go with a front loader check out the whirlpool duet/cabrio line.(maytags are also made by whirlpool now so check those out as well) remember, if you go with a front loader leave you door cracked and your dispenser drawer open when your finished doing wash or you will develope mold/mildew inside the machine.

Whirlpool duets are the best performance/price of the front loaders. I believe you can get a whirlpool washer and dryer from costco for about 700/piece. I think that includes the stands - they rape you on the stands, they are at least 150 bucks a pop.

Thanks to all...except puddles....asshole!!...lol

Youi guys gave me some good places to start. want something energy efficent for sure....low water consumption.

This turned into a K thread...I hit you all!!!
