My neighbor was having a garage sale on my street. This was the first time I've seen anyone have a garage sale near me. Well, our garages are facing each other and I was annoyed with all the trashy shoppers so I asked my neighbor, "how much for everything." He said that he would take $500. I agreed and said I would give him an additional $25 to box it and take it to the curb for garbage day. He walked away mad. ;)

what do you do with all the stuff people give you for holidays, B-days & christmas?

I don't need a bread maker, waffle Iron or all these umbrellas or badmitten sets I keep gettin, plus all the othe BS I acumalte over the year

Am I supposed to pay for storage so I have room to park my car?

I'm lucky my gf likes to have garage sale because I cant see throwing this stuff out

I agree garage sales suck. But, do what I do. If someone I dislike is having a garage sale goto it and walk around making sarcastic coments about his shit. Then, buy some of his old shirts so you can wear them whenever you might be in their presence. It really pisses people off.

I also do this to my friends. I will buy the Geeeiiiihest piece of shit they are selling. And, make sure its on my coffee table when they come over. Just to F with them.

Exactly, while I was talking to him I heard one "customer" ask him to reduce the price on a shirt from .25 cents to .20 cents - unbelievable.

I would have been mad at first but I probably would have said, "Where's the money?" Assuming that's about what I was planning to net for the sale, I would have closed down the sale immediately and started boxing stuff up.

Then I would have only thrown away the really worthless stuff and tried to sell the rest on eBay.
 
You could have possibly just made an enemy. If you're going to make enemies, try choosing someone who doesn't live right next to you. :)

Better they fear me than ask something from me.

My block is very concerned with image. My neighbors wouldn't want gossip spread about how I bought all their items just to trash them. :)

MY gf got a nice set of brass bar stools and a cool love seat :supercool
 
People don't have yard sales to get rich. HAVING the yard sale is most of the fun for them. They like to meet people and bargain with them. My neighbor has them all the time and he gets so excited getting ready for it. He always likes to brag to me how much he made, etc...

As long as he is happy...
