Was supposed to take a week off....

Was supposed to take a week off because i kind of hurt my tricep and my right shoulder last week doing some heavy chest work...

So today came around.. and i started a new job... then i started talking to the ex gf... and i got a bit stressed and decided to hit up a gym I used to work out at in high school... mainly intending to do a little cardio and go for a swim...

Now when I got there I decided to toss around some light weights.. thinking it might help recover.. I'm not sure.. this is what I did

Flat bench (havnt done it in like 6 months)
45lb x 10
135x10
185x15 <-- Never tried lifting that many reps in years lol.. got a good pump

low incline dumbell bench. As deep as my arms could go
60's x10 - 4 sets (these were the heaviest dumbells they had in teh gym... LOL)

I then hopped in the hot tub...
Then i did 6 laps of the pool as fast as I could...
WHOLY SHIT... THESE ARE LIKE FUCKING SPRINTS.... I might start doing these a few times a week.
I highly recommend doing all out swimming sprints (is that what they are called)

Bottom line... do you think this will help with my recovery? I'm stretching lots and I felt no pain throughout the workout...

Now Im off to stretch...

I actually just started a new job.. working at ebay. 2nd day was today.

I weighed myself yesteday and i came in at about 194.5

I came to a conclusion last night that I will probably keep swimming maybe 4x a week to prevent excessive fat build up... so 200 lbs might be a little tough to achieve...

I'm also contemplating doing a new periodized system

4 weeks 8-10 reps
3 weeks 5-6 reps
2 weeks 3 reps
1 week off...

Tossing it around in my head... that 15 rep set felt so good...
And even though the dumbell presses were rediculously easy... I could really feel it in my chest vs feeling it so much in my tris...

I think my body could REALLY use a break from extremely heavy lifting as well...
