well, some random girl from one of my classes from spring recognized me, and started chatting with me about classes, school, summer, etc. you know, typical mindless chit-chat. anyhow, she asks who i have for one of my classes, because she has the same course. i said, "i forget her name...some spanish lady." and she gets all pissed and just stops talking. oh yeah, this girl was spanish/mexican/whatever as well. did i do something wrong? not like i care, but im just curious.

My guess is that when you said, "Some Spanish lady", she probably thought that you meant, Oh she is nobody, just some Spanish lady. Miscommunications and assumptions cause so much trouble. That's why I'm a quite guy, the less I say, the better. At least when I'm at work. People are always taking things out of context and misunderstanding each other, I see it all the time at work, causes so much friction.

It is funny how people get so blown out of the water about their heritage. I always thought everyone should be proud of who they are and where they come from.
