I am sure that if there was an option for people to leave the planet and live in space forever or live in the stratosphere (like the Jetsons did) in those airbourne houses, many would choose to. Unfortunately, it is not possible YET.
It is sad.
Maybe stricter forms and regulations on birth control is a feasible option for population control.

True, but perhaps if we had spent the past few centuries devoted to space exploration as opposed to destruction of each other, then living on a different planet or a colony on the moon or Mars would be possible. It's amazing how the natural tendency of almost any species you can identify is to expand itself and propogate throughout its habitat, while the natural tendency of humans is to destroy one another for no logically sound reason.
