Does anyone out there have any suggestions on a good book that gives for example carbs in a slice of bread, how much protien an egg has, how much protien in a half a chicken breast etc...?

Thought someone out there might have a good book they set up there daily meals by.

I may be mistaken, but there was a thread w/a link that had all that info you are looking for. I believe I saw it on the diet discussion board. Just search for nutrition, chart, values, or something similar . I'd try to find it for you, but I'm at work right now.

The FDA also has a huge comprehensive database on the web that shows just about all food data including macronutrients etc.

Most bookstores carry books that have what you're looking for. Look in the health section. Most are pretty complete and inexpensive. They even have pocket-sized ones that you can keep with you.

Like jc21 said, it is listed, obviously!

So what I did was make my own personal "book". In the notebook I use to record my workouts and food diary (just a multi-section spiral notebook) I listed all the foods I eat regularly and their nutritional workup. I found this much easier for me to use since I typically eat the same basic stuff from day to day. And this notebook is always with me! I have everything in there - workouts, exercises, food counts, notes to myself, etc.

For example, I have separate sections for protein sources, starchy carbs, fibrous carbs (I put fruits&veggies&beans in this section) and 'other' (drinks, condiments, fats, snacks, etc).

The book I use for everything else is "The Complete Book of Food Counts" by Corinne T. Netzer. Lists everything - even fast food.

fibbing bastard! I've seen your pics. Either you're the most genetically gifted person on earth or you know a lot about lifting/AS/nutrition, etc.........I'd guess the second.
