Visiting El Paso in a couple weeks - any advice?

Any advice for getting gear south of the border?

Best friend lives down there and says that bringing gear over right now is a bitch! They are inspecting every single car that crosses and making people open any visible bags. They are walking across and hiding gear in the regular places but walking across is taking from 1 hr to who knows how long. Be careful bro.

Well...

I used to go down to Juarez on a regular basis to get my gear becuase I know a bunch of vets there and I get super good prices. Before sept 11th crossing the border was cake but now I went back this past decmeber and they did search every car. They made me open my trunk and hood, scared thje shit outta me. Until things cool down I will order my stuff from a trusted european source but maybe in a year or so I will try it again, but bro be real careful shit is crazy down there.

Yes crazy is true...

It's real tight down there...if you buy you'd be better off using a mule. Someone who works for the vets down there who'll bring your shit to ya for a small fee. Better them than you!!
