They wanted me to verify 3 purchases I've made on my check card. The first was an order I placed for Clomid, and the 2 purchases I've made since then( just gas and a can of dip), she said that they were making sure there was no fraudulent activity going on. I said that I made those purchases and that all three were fine. I doesn't seem like anything to be worried about, should I be worried?

nah, nothing to worry about, same has happened to me (over a gas purchase); I can't remember what she said, but it's pretty routine as far as I know...

No, don't worry. My card company called my 2 days ago for purchases I made in the US.

It is just a security check that pops up on their computer. If there are unusual charges they check for your protection.

I'm glad they do it... they profile your purchases so that when one happens to pop up that doesn't fit your routine, they just verify that it was your purchase so that they can go ahead and let it though. No biggie

It's the dip that tipped them off. The Feds are trying to stop EVERYONE from doing ANYTHING. Even items that are now legal will probably be illegal one day. It's all part of taking away more of our freedoms and becoming a communist state and making you still believe you are a democracy just because you can vote. They are making a database of everyone who smokes and dips so it is easier to catch you once it is against the law. Enjoy your dip while you can.

I wish it were illegal, I've been doing it since I was probably a freshman in High school, so about 7 years or so. I've been trying to quit; and I would have never started if it were illegal.

How old were you as a freshman? 15/16? What was the legal age to buy tobacco products at the time?

Good point Machine, I was about 15 as a Freshman, so yeah, it was illegal, but, there were more than a couple of 18 year old seniors on my wrestling and football team, so I probably just asked them to go buy some for me, or just went "that gas station" where everyone knew they wouldn't card us.

LMAO!!! Everyone has one of "Those gas stations" that sold to everyone. Tobacco, wine, beer, it didn't matter. I remember walking into "That gas station" as a 5'7" 120 lb freshman and buying a quart of beer at 7:00 IN THE MORNING before class.

That shit don't fly anymore. (Good thing too now that some of us have kids)

bro, that's the magic of using your debit card as a credit card. Yup, credit instead of debit. On any questionable purchases you have double protection from your bank and from VISA (or mastercard). Some transaction didn't go through correctly between the bank and VISA and they called you to confirm...

I would suggest to pay for any of your gear with PayPal though... A bit harder for cops to trace...
