Vietnamese Pho noodles, anyone?

Damn I love them.

All cooked in just a few minutes the thinly sliced beef gets thrown in on top of rice noodles then garnished generously with crispy beansprouts, fresh coriander and some squeezd lemon juice then finished off with some sprinkles of chopped chilli - every ingredient is in perfect harmony.
Served hot.

What a fulfilling meal full of flavor, fragance & herbs.

I usually have it with the fried prawn in bamboo sticks as my side dish.
(only when I've been 99% strict with my diet though)

Anyone else had the pleasure of eating this?

too many freakin pho places in the dc metro area...all are so busy...$5-6 for a large bowl and fills you up...i personally hate eating soupy stuff...but when my mom makes it, i go to town....i prefer just the brisket or sliced beef, not any of the tripe, stomach, etc...

No I haven't, sir.

Sounds like you're completely enthralled in your meal.

Fried Prawn is a bad idea, IMO......

DANGER!!!!!!

Blah, I don't think Pho is that great. Same goes for Gyutaku and any other noodle soup. I mean, it's not awful or anything, but soups in general tend to lack taste and are likely to be bland and unfilling. You have to go to a good place for it to be worth while, and even then it's just noodle soup. Nothing that blows your mind. But if you like it, right on.

I mean, it's ok, but it's noodle soup. Noodle soup is never that great, at least for me. I prefer something with a bit more taste. Hell I don't know.

WORD. Lummy, Cheffie and myself had a big bowl each when we met up. Good stuff.

You shared Noodles w/ Scummy Lummy......:lmao:

Priceless shit.

Well, if he had said "shared needles", then there might be a problem.

Lummy is quiet, at least on the forum.......is he that same way in person.

I know Cheffy is quite expressive and cool, he's very easy to read.

It's funny how personalities are changed through the prism of the internet. He may be quiet on here, but in person it's a 180 degree turn. He's still a good bor though, just talkative.

Cheffie is just as cool in person as he is here. I'm jealous of his coolness.

Cheffy is a good guy, he's very even and smooth. I don't agree with him on all things, but I will say this, he can be trusted and he listens.

He'd make a great Psychologist.

Lummy doesn't reveal much here via his personality, but it is funny to see him get flustered......when we dropped the bombs awhile back. He holds his resentment deep.

I've never noticed any resentment, but then again, I've never done anything to push him in that direction.

Although, you should ask him about the "asshole" conversation that he and TheProject had one night on a street corner in DC. Passerby heads turned.

Also, where did you get the avi?

That's Cesar from GrandTheftAuto: San Andreas.

The Project is a rather serious cat, not someone you really want to push past his limit.

I dropped the last bomb on Lummy that blacked him out, he was the first official victim of the Bombing feature on EF.

"I dropped the bomb on Scummy Lummy!"

Project does have his serious side, but is fun to be around and with Lummy in tow, great conversations are bound to happen. I wish I could spend more time around them, just because: good food + good company = great time.

The same can be said of Cheffie and several other people I've had the pleasure of meeting from EF.

I thought your avi was from GTA: SA, do you play? If so, do you like it?

I don't play GTA, I just bear a striking resemblance to Cesar so I thought I'd keep it.....

Why didn't you guys invite Smurfette to partake in the noodleorgy, it only seems natural?

Yeah, unfortunately, our schedules have clashed, and I have not had the opportunity to meet Smurf when she is in the DC area. I hope to rectify that situation at some point.

DIV, I'll just flat out say it: If you look anything like your avi, HOT! Tatts and all.
