Video Software? Need help...

Does anyone here use video editing software?

I want to make online videos for my students but I would like to record my computer screen, and maybe tape myself with a video camera, and also add in audio to what is going on in the video. Any recommendations?

BTW I use a PC. I know there are some nifty progs out there for the Mac.

if u have or can access and HD (hard drive) recorder that is the way to go. the university av department should be able to get u one. they come with all the necessary video software (nothing fancy is needed). u could record the audio live or do it as a voice over.

Thanks. I was thinking my fist stop should be the arts department. I always enjoy going over there anyway...all of the young freaks are into dance and music (nothing wrong with looking!)

There are a lot of cool programs to help you edit stuff. Then you can have a board that will control a couple of cams if ya like. It's all available. I am getting ready to do my own radio show on Shoutcast.. just a couple more devices to buy. My program also does video in/out so i could do video if i wanted to put that in the mix. Just a project......

Does Shoutcast provide the software? If not, what prog are you using?
