It really depends on the person. I'd love it, some other guys wouldn't... if he's into electronics, yes he'll probably like it.

Does he have a nano or iPod mini (if so... the upgrade i'm sure he'll love).

No, he doesn't have either. He travels a LOT, though.. So, I thought he could use it on plane, etc.

I have one and I take it everywhere - I listen to music whenever I can.....it's one of the simple pleasures in life.

Plus it kicks ass at the gym.

I guess soley for that reason... Video. I haven't seen it in person, ordered online. I'm just concerned the screem may be too small to see anything anyway lol... and maybe I should have just gotten the nano, not worth the extra for a screen you have to hold 2 inches away from your face to see anything. It's supposed to be here tomorrow, so I'll find out soon.

I have the 60 GIG version

I just keep loading it up with music and it never seem to come close to filling half of it up.

The Videos are sort of a novelty vs being of any real use in watching something.
I enjoy downloading a few comedy or scubadive/ski video podcasts and keeping them for times when I need a laugh or to kill some time etc vs just music.
