I open them without a opener. The pain comes from trying to draw for them. Now that can be a pain in the a$$ !

I hope you use a needle filter when you draw your oil. I got an abcess from not using one when I just broke the top of the amp off. I have since went to getpinz.com and purchased an amp opener.

I use a small grinding stone(like the ones that come with a dremel tool) to score the neck of the amp before I try to crack 'em. You only need to go around the neck once or twice--works great. Especially for amps lie ICN's. I got the idea from using hgh kits(they come with one). I always wipe the amp down with a alcohol pad after I'm done scoring the amp, and I still use a filter needle for drawing. Being a little extra safe and steril never hurts!

Whats the difference. I just pop them off. It's the same concept as what you do with the opener. I don't see how it's opened has anything to do with getting a abcess.

Most are scored anyway and pop right open not problemo. Are you talking about the using a filter so your pin does not hit the side?

You dont need an amp opener with Jefta brand amps. They have a score and you can snap the top off easily.

what caused the absess was it tiny glass particles??? i use a pen cap and when i pop them off i have a feeling some particles go in the amp..

The only amps I've ever used were Organon Sust (pretty sure that's right)and they were the biggest pain in the ass to open. Even after I scored the neck all the way around, I still crushed two of them and jammed another right into my thumb.

I use an 18 gage to draw and a 22gage to inject. I drew up a tiny peice of glass and it made an abcess on my ass. That kinda rhymed. LOL! Seriously though, 4 days later I injected into the same place and when I aspirated I got a yellow and redish puss. Fortunately for me my wife works at a doctors office and I got it taken care of.

You might want to use a papertowel around it if you don't have an amp opener and your scoring it with a nail file or something.
