vette or viper

i've had like 3 vettes couple ferrari's couple lambo's... pretty much everything my favorite car by far has been my current hyundai thing is a dream to drive..
 
porsches are shit. if i wanted a fuckin look of a punch buggy i would buy one. like i said im not fuckin spending money on a friggin car that looks like a plain jane car. u can buy a mercedes and it looks like the same as any other sedan but spend 150000 on it. im bying a viper for looks and hp. ive drove a viper and they handle great. whoever says they handle like shit i want u to tell me youve driven one.

Porsche are mid-engine/rear engine. Maybe shit for you but perfect track cars. I'd take a Cayman S over a Viper anyday of the week. But since you dont track your cars, it's all good. Get the Viper, a good set of tires and have fun.
 
wootoom, i have driven it. yes it runs a lateral g on a skidpad and it pulls a 70mph slalom which is amazing. but it is so powerful that you lose control. it just doesnt' handle like a german or italian car. or even a vette for that matter. a gallardo is what you want but its way more than a vette or viper. the M6 is the shit if you can even get one. porsches blow away the viper bro. you obviously haven't driven a turbo 911. your my boy but there is not much that beats it. and yes some mercedes are very popular but a SL 65 bi turbo, if you can get one, has 600hp and will smoke your viper like a philly blunt. 0-60 in 3.6

0-60 in 2.2 seconds 1/4 mile in 8 secs. but your nuts if you can do that to any car and keep the warranty you get a fucking vette with the lingenfelter package. twin turbo, takes a blue angel jet on a landing strip. 7 seconds no problem for 1/4 mile. personally i'd get an M6 and put a dinan supercharger on it but i'm not a big muscle guy unless its old school

Bro I saw Supras with well over 1000hp. Skylines too. Doesnt make them track friendly or street legal. Pretty cool for straight line but POS on the track. On top of being very unstable, it's very hard to manage all that power through the standard tranny. You better shift like a God with your 1340rwhp cause otherwise say goodbye to your tranny. One of the reason why exotic/Le Mans type cars have sequential gearbox. It took so much time and efforts to build the 1000hp Bugatti Veyron for a reason: cause it aint easy to make a car with so much power user friendly.

It was only made two years 2004-2005 for a total production run of 50 street cars. I would expect seven figures minimum in cost to buy one today.

the mc12 is not a street legal car. to drive it on the street you either have to drive it using dealer plates or send the car to classic coach ferrari in nj or i believe one other dealer that does it is i think oregon or washington and they update the car to meet DOT standards ie, change cluster, bumper, markers, etc. for a pretty nice price

MC12 is a detuned Enzo. Same engine but they lowered the specs not to hurt the Enzo reputation. An Enzo will cost you more. Still I'd get a Veyron, street legal, AWD, all kind of goodies inside and most powerful beast on the roads.
 
first off i will tell you my friend is the largest fish distributor in the u.s. he has a better car collection than ralph lauren. he has one of five black gt carrera porsche's and an enzo. the gt carrera hits 50 just from letting off the fucking clutch it is insane. it will eat alive any of those beefed up cars so will the enzo. just they cost 600gs to a million. aside from that there is no car closer to a race car than the saleen S7. this comes from the mouth of jay leno, mario andretti a long list of car aficianodos

very true. that is why the subaru sti is so awesome. 300 lbs of torque to the wheels. so much low end torque. it will eat cars alive that have 120 more horse

Viper: 8.3 liter V-10, 500 HP SAE @ 5,600 rpm; 525 ft lb , 712 Nm @ 4,200 rpm. I think its torque is probably adequate.

You think someone who buys a car like this adheres rigidly to the posted speed limits??? :rolleyes: Please, you can do better than that stale, facile argument.

712Nm @ 4200 is sure nice, how many RPM before redline? up to 7000? 8000?

is there a torque graph somewhere? how much of it is available in the low range? does it drop like a stone beyond 4500rpm?

I understand fines are hefty... what happens if you get too many? can they take your DL away?

also the cgt doesnt cost anywhere near 600k to a million, you could get one for around 350k now and even when they first came out they were not much over 400k. the enzo on the other hand, you can pick up a used one for between 900k-1.5 mill.

Track/circuits, never heard of that ? I have one 30 minutes away from home and two others about an hour. That's where people go beat their exotic cars.

LOL @ questioning the low end torque of an 8.3 liter V10. It'll pull stumps. This ain't no Honda S2000.

Right it's not street legal, but everyone has deviated to talking about insanely powerful vehicles that really only serve a purpose for the track. So in that case, why talk about an Enzo when you there is the super-Enzo?

The Veyron will do what the FXX and Murcielago can do together. The FXX is more about the racing program and challenge races between owners since you own the car but it remains under Ferrari's hands except for the events.
 
not all fxx's are kept at ferrari. theres a dealer in florida who drives his around with dealer plates and i saw penskes fxx at ferrari of central new jersey a few months ago at an f1 party. damn when they started that bitch up inside the showroom, the windows almost blew out, lol

Very hard to decide and very contreversial. Basically you're ruining an Enzo chassis but on the other hand, you get something unique since Pinnafarina is like the Dali of the car industry. If I had an Enzo and a FXX, I'd probably sacrifice the Enzo. Please note that the local Ferrari said they would ban anyone going through this process lol

Performance specs of the FXX are kept under tight lips, so how can you say the Veyron is that much better considering the FXX is a super-Enzo?

FXX owners own the car and can take them wherever they please. Mind you, owners do have the option of keeping it at the Ferrari plant. How do I know this? Because I know the guy in Toronto that owns an FXX (and an Enzo). Want to know how much he pays a month for it?

Dealer must be lucky and well Penske.... is Penske. But here they had trailers waiting for the cars after the race. Even Lawrence Stroll (former owner of Tommy Hillfiger and current owner of the Montreal Ferrari dealer) had to send his FXX away.

well you are very wrong indeed my friend. first off yes they list a cgt at 350 but find me one for less than 600, and a black one at that. yes you might be able to get a banana yellow for 400 gs but that is as low as you will find. these are not my cars they are my friends so i have no reason to brag or get into it. but i will tell you he has driven everything and has had everything. the only car stock he has had that was faster than an enzo was a mercedes clk gtr which ran 8 second 1/4 mile. the bugatti is an amazing machine and he is in the process of acquiring one. 0-185 in 13 seconds. pretty sweet. ralph lauren's collection is pathetic in comparison to my friends. i'm just telling you what he has said, he's never let me drive anything more than his 911 turbo or modena. the enzo and gt are never touched by anyone but him or his brother. when he had a ferrari F 40 that was a sweet car and the saleen s7 as i said was amazing and the closest to a race car but it had problems. a porsche will last forever and ferraris are pretty well built

yes actually many of his cars have been in magazines and what not. he owned the first renntech CL 63 twin turbo mercedes in the u.s. my friend is not as famous as ralph lauren so he is not going to do things like that. but there is just no way you can beat his car collection it is filled with the latest greatest cars no matter what at all times. its the only thing he cares about. jay leno is the only person i know of that beats this guy. really doesnt matter. if he were on here he could explain why he likes each one more than the other. i just get to look at them and ive driven some of his lower end cars like the audi rs6 the 911 turbo and his modena. my favorite car he had personally was the Saleen as i said but it was a piece of garbage. when he gets the bugatti i think i'll be impressed but if it were up to me i'd get a gallardo. the bugatti W-16 is one badass engine.

What are you looking for? Speed or just the thought of having a viper. If it were me it would be speed and style. Keep the vette, Add ported heads, maybe a mild cam exhaust and a good tune with maybe a touch of nitrous or just a super charger and call it a day. Or if your looking for the ed attention a viper gets, go a head and get the viper.

haha what else? I bet that boy screems. If your looking for speed hype up the vette. Im not a big dogde fan but the viper is a pretty toy. Also the viper gets alot of looks because there not over filled on the roads. Id say viper. Get tired of it start juicing the bad boy ;)

You already have a Vette that can outperform a Viper, why would you change ? Get another Vette. I'm telling you man, the Viper will be a huge deception for you.

for the money I don't think you can beat a 911 its an incredible car
