SOFAGEORGE,, i don't doubt what you said as truth,but it 's pretty funny that when i mentioned this article to a good friend of mine who is very connected,the pro you mentioned by name in your post,name came up as did another black pro,who by the way is "SPECULATED "to be one of the biggest extascy dealers in the La, area. i doubt very seriously that the article was based on whole truths,i do however believe that this sort of thing does happen but only with a select few people around not in the rave style as mentioned in the article.

I definitely have no doubt a couple pros hook up, problem is I know too many of them... and bottom line is they just don't lead very interesting lives. Many people think these guys make major bucks. Truth of it is there is very little endorsement money in the sport these days. All in all I'd say most of them feel they made a big mistake chasing the Mr. O title... cuz when they see 40 coming it's a kind of scarry thing to have no money and no job skills and no career.

Check the gossip section and take a look a Chris Cormier and the 'Gino's' surrounding him. That story I bet is true. Maybe slighty exageratted but true for the most part.
