I worked out at Gold's Venice for 10 years. I know all of the top pros that work there. I can say absolutely that this article is pure BS. They wish their lives were that interesting.
There are a lot of gay bodybuilders. Almost none of them want the world to know they are gay. As a matter of fact Tom Prince tried to strangle my business partner right in the gym when he called bodybuilding a "...gay beauty contest..." and not a sport. The gay bodybuilders do hook up together, but they don't do it with a roomful of gabby straight witnesses, and some of the supposedly "straight" bodybuilders make their real living turning tricks in West Hollywood. (The top guys don't make jack shit in endorsement money.)
There are a lot of hot chicks that hang with the Gold's crowd, and there are a lot of hot bi chicks. None of them that I have ever talked to would want to hang at a party with a bunch of gay bodybuilders banging each other.
The thing I found most interesting about the article was the mention of the gang bang queen porn start at the party. I used to see her often in Venice. We used the same bank... and she was absolutely the dumbest doornail anyone ever met in their life. (A friend of mine told her she had legs like a gazelle and she asked, "What's a gazelle?")
The big mistake of this article is that it portrays the Venice bodybuilding scene as one big happy family that loved to have sex with each other. The truth of it is these guys are in daily competition with each other... for titles, endorsement contracts, everything. Some are friends. Many hate each other. And the chicks are FAR more competative with each other than the guys.
