I would police my own thread, but I can't, only COTB can do that.

That thread was barely up for two days and had 1500 views, its going to be a pain to remake but in a few days I will, such a shame for good material that doesn't come along all that often to go to waste.

well, being one of the more intelligent members of the boards, now in a leadership role as a moderator, maybe you could suggest that locking a 6 month old thread as a matter of policy is short sighted and does disservice to the board.

See, platinum members pay for the ability to quickly and easily search out old posts. Sometimes there could be follow up questions to those, and just an additional comment. Replying to an existing thread, no matter how old, prevents someone from having to create a whole NEW thread and thus having even MORE threads with just a few posts show up when someone else searches for the same topic.

As I was explained, old posts with BANNED members were not to be bumped. Then it was threads that were 4 years old, then 1 year old, now it seems 6 months is old enough to warrant a lock.

The thread I was referring to was the one where Wootoom asked why my picture thread from saturday night was locked.

When one of my threads is locked, I assume it violated the TOS in some way. In order to prevent that from happening again (when its not blatantly obvious of course) is to let the person know. Wootoom (and I) were just looking for that explanation. Turns out it had nothing to do with that I had posted, but some other people getting into some disagreements over god know's what. I couldn't even reply back to the moderator on the thread to thank her for the explanation, I had to yet again create a brand new thread to do so.

mods side with mods bro, its the code. its a ballsy move to unlock a thread that another mod locked, no matter how junior or senior. Lemme know when you've done that for the first time. I'm thinking at least a year's wait.

That bit about "I have to start a new thread to talk about why another thread was locked" is not something I have ever tolerated, Lestat. You know better than that.
