yup.....

2 things affect:

1 - low bf
2 - Enough carbs in the muscle bellies

...during the week - Im flat.....after a carb-up, the vein in my right arm stays visible and after an arm workout its freaky looking

basically, yes.

Vascularity is the visibility of veins on a bodybuilder as a result of exercise and low bodyfat (and perhaps higher blood volume).

#3 - genetics / vein placement

Obviously, at a low enough BF, ANYONE will have veins showing. But in general, your genetics will dictate how vascular you get normally.

Thread jack starts now...

Where you been all day?
I got so much work done this A.M. seeing EF was updating things and I couldnt log on... I am VERY addicted

I know some people who are just vascular even if they aren't lean. Me, i'm not vascular. I can see the veins pop in my hands after a good carb session tho :)

I was replying as to the things that promote or make vascularity more eveident

and genetically - you CAN enhance vascularity ie - increase the size of veins and the extent of capliarization..

I can so relate. I had to go to a specialist just to get blood drawn because they go to poke a vein and it slips outta the way... it's like,"Hey don't you be poking me.... try and catch me..." I walked out of the doctor's office one day with 5 band-aids on my arms and no blood drawn...

:wavey:
Then they miss and hit some god awful nerve (i think) and my arm is numb for days - worst pain ever for me -

Red wine which is rich in glycerol will further enhance vascularity

For those competing -- red wine before prejudge not only loosens you up to face the stage but also jacks up those veins.
