Vegans

peanuts, tofu, chili beans, soy protein, and there are some vegan powder protein mixes; look online for vegan food sites, there's plenty out there
 
Soy protein for building muscle?

Hi, I'm near-vegan (I try to force down eggs, but otherwise....)

I eat a TON of soy and soy protein isolate. The bodybuilders I speak with say this protein will NOT build muslce like whey and animal protein can.

Of course, I want this not to be true? What's your opinion on soy? How about if it combined with another form of protein?

I seldom do the grain-legume mixing thing. I usually eat my soy straight, no grains.
