I'm stressing too much here. The relationship (w/woman) is about a month old. I dig her and this could be long term thing, but who knows? I figure I'll go the traditional route with the roses, but what else? Being the man I am, roses dosen't seem to be that much of a gift. Help me out here. Ladies especially. The rest of you cock smokers feel free to chime in with your "I'll give her the high hard one for ya," or "Get her a strap on, something you both can enjoy."
 
I think roses IS enough..

But if you really want to give something else, maybe a scented candle, chocolates or some nice bubble bath .... the best is if you can think of something that has to do with her.. does she have a particular favourite fragrance.. colour?

To me, the best gift shows a little thought went into it.
 
I agree with Seashell....a candle would be nice or something from bath and Body works that smells good. Anything kind girl like but not really personal....

can you cook?

cook her a nice meal at home. it's more personal and it shows you've put a lot of thought and effort into the night.
 
dont over do it.....just give her some roses take her out to dinner and a movie or something.....my girl fucked up...she has to work valentines day and the day after so i told her valentines day cancelled to fuck off....her bad for picking up extra work

I think this is the way I'm going to go. The only problem is she has to work Sat. night. A nice midnight dinner might be fun.

on a more serious note.. i'm kinda in your boat... i've been hooking up w/ this chick and i dont know if she thinks we are more than that but i dont want a relationship w/ her and i think the best way to convey that would be to do nothing for vday... as shitty as it sounds.

That's going to suck when she springs a gift or something on you.
I think I'm going the candle route. If I were you ZK I'd have one on hand just in case. Even if you don't have to give it to her, it may come in handy someday.

and its a small box of chocs...about the size of a large hand

No thought goes into a candle? If you know her favourite fragrance is gardenia (for example), and you search around and find a really cool gardenia-scented candle....that's not thoughtful? I wasn't talking about the white long candles y'know... :rolleyes:

Bubblebath, same thing. Sure, you can be thoughtless and pick up the first one you see.. but I'm obviously not talking about that.. maybe she has a favourite kind or she collects "Hello Kitty" stuff.. so get her the Hello Kitty bubblebath...

A gift is as thoughtful as you want it to be...

try lilacs or even an orchid





....and send it to her work........not for scoring brownie points but for lavishing attention on her in her "world"



...get tickets to see a stage production


...go to a shooting range together


...plan something physical - rock climbing or other outdoorr activity....if weather permits


...cook dinner together...light some candles, open some wine, and just pretend you two are the only souls in the world..


...play erotic games


...watch the surise or sunset together
