UV Sterilizing

Im wondering if you goto a pet store and buy a UV sterilizer
will it work for sterilizing roids...Any input this might be a good answer to sterilizing problems.

I know they UV sterilize in labs..

Or microwave,,,that throws radiation,,,wondering how long and what it can do...Anyone know???
