You gotta be kidding me.

KneeShorts' Philosophy
The Culture War - welcome to our little corner of the battlefield!

Traditional values are under attack, including family, religion and any sense of morality. The charge is led by the entertainment industry with the battle cry "there is no evil, there is no shame!" And as morality dies, Hollywood loots our pockets, eagerly joined by its allies - the advertising and fashion industries.

Modest dress, as a traditional moral value, is an ongoing casualty of the conflict. Even "mainstream" retailers can't seem to resist abandoning principle for perceived profit. Abercrombie & Fitch aggressively exploits pornography to sell its clothes -
www.ccv.org/Press_Release-Abercrombie_ads.htm. Sears markets sexually provocative t-shirts to pre-teen girls - www.bbhq.com/cultwar.htm. Britney Spears - trendsetter, pre-teen idol, and poster child for immodest dress - is single-handedly responsible for widespread acceptance of ultra-low hip-huggers. Want to dress your six-year old daughter like a Britney/stripper look-alike? Shop at any department store!

KneeShorts refuses to participate in this downward spiral. We believe that successful businesses (even those selling apparel) can be built on principle. The principle to which we are dedicated is modesty. We promise not to sell low hip-huggers, teeny-weeny inseams, high slits, tank tops, or other immodest cuts of clothing. We hope that you will patronize KneeShorts' and prove to mainstream retailers that they do not need to carry immodest clothing to be successful!

Note on "modesty"
On occasion, a customer will ask whether KneeShorts' has adopted the "correct" standard of modesty. We believe that there are many legitimate standards for modest dress - some personal, others religious or institutional. We support any standard that attempts to promote modest dress. We aim to carry styles that will appeal to many standards of modesty - whether inspired by a school dress code or an individual's personal beliefs.

It's a company they featured on the morning news today. Thet were borderline fanatics about how the clothing industry is responsible for the decay of moral fiber, yada, yada, yada. So they came out with knee shorts to fight their battle. I couldn't believe it. Oh christ, this place is odd sometimes.

What is this all about? The fact that a company wants to market modest style clothing to young people? I dont see anything wrong with that and if anything its a positive move given the current state our youth is in. I thought this country was all about choice for consumers. Let the marketplace decide with their buying power, as it always does. If the company becomes succesful you cant argue.

Why do you hate it so much? Why don't you move? The weather isnt even really that great there.

Hmmmm. Who gives a shit lol I will second the :rainbow:

Its about not being able to find appropriate clothing for children and pre-teens. Stores should be a bit more responsible. Yes, I know, parents do not have to buy it. But, making thongs for little girls? That's a bit much.

the funniest thing about mormons is amount of gay ones out there... ahh mormons in a gay bar ...fucking funny shit..... "hey are you LDS?" ..."ya " "does anyone know youre here?" hahaahhaaha

I know what you mean. I was walking behind a girl the other day, thong was out a bit, not on purpose, and I was thinking she was hot as hell. She turned, I saw her face and almost had my self arrested for what I was thinking. She had to have been 12. No kids for me.

These guys were just wacko. They were honestly talking like we're at war.

They have state liquor stores here. The beer you buy in the grocery store, 7-11, etc. is weak beer, 3.2% alc. You can buy real beer in the liquor store. They sell it warm, fuggin sucks. If you want a keg you have to go to Wyoming. You'll be charged with bootlegging if you get caught doing it.

'utah' and 'culture' are 2 words which might not belong together.

not unlike 'soklueles' and 'diet.'

or 'sawastea' and 'women.'
