USPS Priority Mail Question

What is the ABSOLUTE LONGEST you have(or have heard of anyone else) waited for one of these Pax to arrive?? I know a guy who is waiting on one for over two weeks, and another for about 7 days. No DC# used on either, unfortunately.

I wouldn't send a Priority Mailing today WITHOUT delivery confirmation or Signature confirmation. Also, as some of you have found out, the USPS website lags in its reporting of the whereabouts of a package. But, at the Post Office, their computers are real-time and you can ask a postal worker to check the whereabouts on their computer.

Well yes, it is completely out of the dudes hands Doc, since apparently no DC#s were used. I was just wondering if this was common, or should my boy just assume that they never were sent? He told me that the longest he ever waited for a previous Prio Mail Deliv. to arrive was 5 days(from NYC), but that one DID have a DC#, so it wasn't hard to track it down & thus wasn't as worrisome as these two I suppose.

KK,

Get a tracking # on all your shipments bro. Insurance would be a good idea too since CPU's are soo fragile. Anyways, its good to see you are OK and you are still at it. Peace out bro!

PS.

Drop me a line and let me know how you and the family are doing.

There is NO gurantee on priority, its says "an average of 2-3 days", there is no gurantee. I have heard of packages taking up to 3 weeks.

While there is no guarantee on priority mail, there is no reason why a properly addressed packaged should take more than 3-4 days to arrive anywhere in the United States.

If a package took 3 weeks, then something is very much out of the ordinary.

I had a package sent priority (birthday present) that was sent on June 18th and recieved it july 9th! 22 fucking days! Called the post office and talked to shaqueeta.....and she said what u said Zyg....theres no gurantees.

Long time no talk. Honestly man, I would tell the people who wait over 7 days not to accept the package or to atleast not open it. I had a few guys that emailed me about 1 week after I sent it and they said the pack I sent them via prio mail never showed up. Finally about 10 days from the ship date it showed up. Come to find out, those were the packs the feds were opening, documenting the contents, and then sealing back up. I'm not trying to instill paranoia, just trying to help...

Thanks for the post spot me......the info is interesting....have the feds fucked with any end users in your case???

I should add fellas, that these Pax contain nothing illegal. These weren't pax being sent out FROM my boy, but rather Pax he was expecting. There are only two of them(out of many). Both are(or were supposedly)coming from the New England area, and neither person had used DC#'s. My boy is of the opinion(due to the reaction of the persons who claimed that they did indeed send these Pax, and upon being told that they were never received), that they actually never did, as he has NEVER had to wait that long on a pax of this nature. But who knows.

The reason it takes longer is because the postal service ranks right up there with fast food for incompetence. It shouldnt take three weeks but it has and does.

As an example I just sent an express package and tracking shows they delivered the package at the wrong fucking city.

i think i would be too afraid to accept a package thats been out for 3 weeks.
It was delivered fine, no sign of tampering or anything. They simply misplaced it im sure and the guy prolly dropped a doughnut in his truck and when he reached down to beat the 3 second rule, noticed a 3 week old priority package he dropped. Priority mail is just stuffed in the mailboax and scanned at delivery (if delivery conf is used).
