usmc buds

former marine lookin for some old buds, about a year ago i ran into an old bud here and it took awile before we even knew we know each other. i just want to see how many of u guys were or are in the usmc. i know a lot of guys here are military so u know where im comming from. u get out and then the time goes by and u wish u kept up with em. i put this in this forum because this is where i think they wwould be.

just got out the corps 2 weeks ago. 7.5 years total. a good buddy of mine put it best "it was the best time of my life, but i'll never do it again." pretty much sums it up. trying to track down a few long lost buds of mine as well, good luck to ya, devil. ooh rah

got out on '83 right after spending 6 mo. on a boat in lebanon. i was a avionics tech. on cobra helocoptors............

another LAR boy here, but from 3rd in 29 Palms. I knew a couple of guys from 2nd LAR that i went to school with. If they got out, it would have been in '03 (when i got out).

I completely agree with beezlebub's statement. Was quite possibly the greatest time of my life (especially when i was an instructor at JWTC in Okinawa, that was ALOT of fun) but i would never do it again...hehehe.

was in from 97-01. Spent my time in 29 Palms as an AAV mech.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.....that sums it up for me. the best time was normally from 5pm-midnight when i'd be drunker than hell, and the worst time was 7am-5pm when my day was determined by someone else's bad mood.

2 years ago, i drove from PA to FL for a friend's wedding. we met when we were in school at Pendleton and were stationed together in 29 Palms. I hadn't seen him in 2 years, but was more than willing to go to his wedding. one of the few people i am still in contact with, but i don't see myself losing touch with him anytime soon.
